AMACOS ‘95 President, Percy Ademokun, in his speech at the event, with the theme: “Together we excel,” encouraged members to embrace the spirit of unity and collaboration, stressing that the set was not just a collection of individuals, but a community, rooted in shared experiences and aspirations.
Following this, Ademokun, who joined virtually, urged members to continue to support one another and reach out to those who may not yet feel connected to the association just yet, raising hope that with unity, members could ensure that the set legacy “endures for years to come”.
The President’s call for togetherness was premised on certain achievements, challenges and triumphs that have been recorded by the executives despite being confronted with many uncertainties.
He attributed the remarkable feats to collective strength and dedication.
For instance, Ademokun pointed out that the executives have connected with old friends, cherished memories, and forged new paths for the future.
The AMACOS ‘95 head listed further: “We started the year with our reconciliatory effort at bringing back members who had either left or were never part of our togetherness which saw the berth of the togetherness event held in December 30, 2023 and the gains reflects in the number of members participation and dues payments.
“We have as an EXCO been able to put together our own multimedia package for live transmission of our events, which is also available for use by members who request for such.

He thanked all those who supported the Association in its welfare drives, as well as recognised those members who continually, in their private capacity, support needy members.
He also indicated that the group’s present leaders efforts to strengthen the association’s network have borne fruit, just as there has been a rise in engagement among general members, recent events have attracted not only alumni, but also Gen Zs too, adding: “It was heartening to witness the bonds that we continue to foster across generations.”
In addition, the AMACOS ’95 head disclosed that this year, the backlog of the annual Corporate Affairs Commission fees that has been outstanding for seven years has been paid.

He stated that he looked forward to a year of new ideas of programmes that will not just excite members, but will be as well profitable.
Ademokun thanked executive committee members who have tirelessly contributed their time and energy, praying that their passion and commitment have been vital to the team’s success.
“Let us move forward in our mission to inspire and empower ourselves with a heart of forgiveness and love for each other,” the President restated.
